Hi,

First off, congratulations to the entire Freed team for pulling this
years event off. It was really fun, successful, and the changes as
compared to Freedel 2006 paid off in the end.

If there were any negative points with Freed, they would be the
following (in my opinion):

1) Positioning of talk halls: The two major "areas" were quite far from
each other, and the location of each hall was not clear. Although, by
the second day, we kind of got the idea :)

2) Attendance: Not as many people as you would have liked actually
attended many of the talks. There was one talk on GNU/HURD for which
no-one actually turned up.

To improve attendance, might I suggest charging for the event? This may
seem to be a bad idea; but, I think we usually feel "we are getting
something" when we pay for it. On the other hand, the Java workshops
were a huge success because people thought they could learn Java for
free (Java courses outside are usually expensive ;))

You could offer complimentary lunch and/or a T-Shirt in exchange for
charging for the event.

My "do rupiah".
